The Laguna Beach oceanfront home of the late writer and director Stephen J. Cannell has sold for $20 million.
The Laguna Beach oceanfront home of the late writer and director Stephen J. Cannell has sold for $20 million, according to The Real Deal. The Cannell family trust placed the home, located at 2125 Ocean Way, on the market in July and was able to secure the full asking price, which comes out to $4,246 per square foot.
The buyers of the home are a trust tied to Capital Group portfolio manager Barry Crosthwaite and his wife Jennifer Crosthwaite, according to the deed. The listing agents for the property were Shauna Covington and Leita Covington of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, while the buyer was represented by Spencer Wall of Pacific Sotheby's International Realty.
The oceanfront property, which was built in 2000, features four bedrooms, four bathrooms and 4,708 square feet of living space. It also includes a rooftop deck, a courtyard with a pool, and direct beach access.
The late Stephen J. Cannell was a prolific writer and producer, best known for creating hit shows such as "The A-Team," "The Rockford Files," and "21 Jump Street." He passed away in 2010 at the age of 69.
