Caruso's Former Beverly Hills Home Fetches $48M, Becoming the Priciest Sale in the US Last Month
A Beverly Hills estate once owned by real estate developer and former mayoral candidate Rick Caruso has sold for a whopping $48 million, making it the most expensive home sale in the country last month.
The 9-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion, located at 912 Benedict Canyon Drive, was purchased by an unknown buyer for $47.5 million, according to Westside Today. This sale marks the only California property to make the top 10 list of priciest home sales last month, with the remaining nine properties located in Florida and Connecticut.
Originally listed in 2023 for a staggering $72.5 million, the Benedict Canyon home ultimately sold for $2,793 per square foot. It was first put on the market in January of this year.
The property boasts a number of luxurious features, including a home theater, wine cellar, and a 2-bedroom guest house. It also includes a swimming pool, tennis court, and stunning views of the city.
In addition to his real estate ventures, Caruso is well-known in Los Angeles for his unsuccessful run for mayor in 2017. He has also been involved in controversial development projects, including the expansion of The Grove shopping center.
According to Westside Today, the buyer of Caruso's former home was represented by Rayni and Branden Williams of Hilton & Hyland, while the seller was represented by Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency.
