CC Homes pays $50M for 151 homesites in Davie
CC Homes buys 151 homesites in Davie for $50 million, partnering with Turnberry for a development of luxury homes ranging from 3,400-6,000 square feet.
CC Homes, led by Armando Codina and Jim Carr, has purchased a 152-acre vacant property in Davie for $50 million from KBNP, an affiliate of Aventura-based Turnberry. The site, located at the northeast corner of I-75 and the Royal Palm Boulevard exit ramp, is planned for a development of 151 single-family homes. According to records and real estate database Vizzda, Turnberry, led by Jackie Soffer, will also be partnering on the project.
Designed by MSA+, the development will consist of luxury homes ranging from 3,400 to 6,000 square feet in size, with some homes reaching up to 6,000 square feet with additional rooms. The homesites will vary in size, ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 square feet.
This purchase marks CC Homes' first venture into the Davie market, as the developer typically focuses on building in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The company is known for its luxury developments, including the 691-unit Bonterra community in Hialeah.
While the project has not yet been officially named, it is expected to bring high-end homes to the Davie area, catering to affluent buyers looking for spacious and upscale living options. However, this acquisition also brings up questions of potential conflicts of interest, as Turnberry's co-CEO Jackie Soffer is also the chair of the county's airport and seaport advisory boards, raising concerns about potential influence and favoritism in the development process.
