The penthouse at 145 East 76th Street, owned by Heather Kerzner, is a sight to behold. The living room boasts a striking Wedgwood blue color scheme, complete with pink-sand hourglasses, navy-velvet sectionals, and a veiny marble fireplace. The primary suite is just as eye-catching, with large-format floral wallpaper and raspberry-lacquered closets adorned with panache.
Kerzner, who is known for her bold fashion choices and extravagant lifestyle, has certainly left her mark on this penthouse. But despite its flamboyant design, the property has been on the market for a while now, with a price tag of $7.885 million. It seems that even in the affluent neighborhood of Lenox Hill, this over-the-top penthouse may be a bit too much for potential buyers.
While the penthouse itself is a work of art, it also comes with a bit of controversy. According to sources, the building's co-op board has been less than pleased with some of the design choices made by Kerzner, including a neon pink accent wall in the dining room and a bright orange kitchen. But Kerzner, who purchased the penthouse for $5.5 million in 2011, has not been deterred by their disapproval.
"I love color and I love bold statements," Kerzner said in a previous interview with The Real Deal. "I don't think anyone should be afraid of color."
Despite the extravagant design and bold personality of the owner, the penthouse has yet to find a buyer. Perhaps the unique design choices
