Developer Dan Hosseini Gets Green Light for 16-Unit Expansion in Northridge

Dan Hosseini's plans for a 16-unit expansion in Northridge have been approved by the city's Planning Commission.

The Los Angeles city Planning Commission has given the go-ahead for Dan Hosseini's proposal to expand an existing apartment complex in Northridge, clearing away parking and a swimming pool to make way for the new construction.

The project, located at 18419 W. Gresham Street, will consist of a four-story building with 16 apartments and parking for five vehicles. This is in addition to the 25 units already built at 8803 N. Darby Avenue, bringing the total number of apartments on the property to 41.

Aaron Brumer & Associates is handling the design for the project, which will feature a small landscaped courtyard to separate the new building from the existing one.

Planning Commission approval was necessary for density bonus incentives in order to authorize the new construction. In exchange, five of the apartments will be reserved for very low-income households.

Hosseini, who also recently secured approvals for a larger mixed-use project in Woodland Hills, continues to expand his presence in the Los Angeles real estate market.
