Douglas Elliman Agents Score Top Contracts for Restored Fort Greene Townhouse and Pink Condo in Brooklyn
Douglas Elliman agents Doug Bowen and Zia O'Hara land top contracts in Brooklyn's competitive real estate market.
Douglas Elliman agents Doug Bowen and Zia O'Hara had a successful week in Brooklyn's real estate market, landing the listings for the two most valuable contracts in the borough, according to Compass' weekly report of contracts for homes asking at least $2 million from Sept. 21 to Sept. 27. The 24 contracts, which included 15 condos and nine houses, amounted to a total asking volume of $66 million, a significant increase from the previous week's 19 contracts for $54 million.
The priciest contract of the week was for a legal two-family townhouse in Fort Greene, listed at $4.7 million. The 3,280-square-foot home, located at 250 Cumberland Street, was recently restored and features modern amenities. However, the standout feature of the property is its unique pink color, setting it apart from the traditional brownstones in the neighborhood.
According to Compass' report, the second most valuable contract of the week was for a condo in Brooklyn Heights, listed at $3.7 million. The 2,119-square-foot unit, located at 70 Henry Street, boasts stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, Brooklyn's real estate market continues to thrive, with high demand for luxury properties. And with Douglas Elliman's top-performing agents at the helm, it's no surprise that they landed the listings for the most valuable contracts of the week.
