"Dresdner Robin's 6-Tower, 2,088-Unit Complex in Journal Square Raises Eyebrows"

"New renderings for 180 Baldwin Avenue reveal Dresdner Robin's ambitious plans for a 6-tower complex in Journal Square."

New renderings have been revealed for the controversial 180 Baldwin Avenue development in Journal Square, Jersey City. The project, spearheaded by engineering firm Dresdner Robin, will consist of six 27-story towers, each rising 293 feet high and offering a total of 2,088 rental apartments. In addition to the residential units, the complex will also include commercial space and a parking garage with 658 spaces.

The property, which will span two-thirds of the block bounded by High Street, Rock Street, and Baldwin Avenue, has raised concerns among community members and city officials. Some worry about the strain the massive development will put on the already congested area, while others are concerned about the impact on local businesses and residents.

One Jersey City official, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed frustration with the project, stating, "It's clear that Dresdner Robin is more interested in making a profit than considering the needs and concerns of the community."

Despite the backlash, Dresdner Robin remains committed to the controversial project. In a statement to The Real Deal, the firm defended their plans, saying, "We have worked closely with the city to ensure that this development will bring much-needed housing and economic growth to the area."
