Cohen's team, which ranked as Elliman's No. 3 small team nationwide last year with $152 million in sales, will bring along six additional agents and four administrative team members. With a career total of over $2.4 billion in sales, Cohen's move is a significant blow to Elliman.
"The last five years at [Elliman] were really great," Cohen said in a statement, highlighting the success he had at the firm. However, it's clear that the allure of returning to his former brokerage and their successful track record was too much for him to resist.
