Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley Sells Palm Beach Estate for $18M Discount to Unknown Buyer in Oceanfront Deal
Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley and his wife, Diane Sculley, sold their oceanfront Palm Beach estate for $37 million, marking a significant discount off the original listing price.
Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley and his wife, Diane Sculley, have sold their oceanfront Palm Beach estate at a $17.9 million discount from their initial listing price, according to Zillow. The couple sold the home at 1214 North Ocean Boulevard earlier this week, but the buyer and final sale price have not been publicly disclosed.
The buyer was brought in by James Kenny, a realtor with K2 Realty who specializes in Lost Tree Village, a gated North Palm Beach golf community. The listing was held by Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate, who did not respond to requests for comment.
Sculley, who served as CEO of Apple from 1983 to 1993, purchased the Palm Beach estate in 1997 for $10.3 million. The home was originally listed for $55 million in January of this year, and was later reduced to $37 million before being sold.
The sale represents a significant discount off the original listing price, indicating a softening in the luxury real estate market in Palm Beach. According to real estate experts, this trend is expected to continue as the area faces increased competition from other luxury markets in Florida.
