Fanatics exec rents 160 Leroy unit for peak ppsf
A record-breaking apartment at 160 Leroy Street was just rented for $40,000 a month by an associate of billionaire Michael Rubin.
An apartment at Ian Schrager's 160 Leroy Street has just been rented for a staggering price of $40,000 a month, breaking the building's previous record of $32,000 a month. The three-bedroom unit, known as 8A-North, was leased by an unidentified associate of billionaire Michael Rubin, according to The Real Deal.
The price per square foot for this rental, at $234, is the highest ever seen at 160 Leroy Street, beating the previous record of $189 per square foot. This expensive rental deal comes at a time when demand for homes in Downtown Manhattan is at an all-time high, driving sale prices to new heights.
This is not the first time 160 Leroy Street has made headlines for its exorbitant prices. Earlier this year, a penthouse owned by a financier at the neighboring building, 150 Charles, set a new record for the most expensive sale in Downtown Manhattan.
It remains to be seen who the mysterious associate of Michael Rubin is, but it is clear that they have deep pockets and a desire to live in one of the most luxurious buildings in the city.
