Richard and Vania Cardinale, owners of the popular Farm to Bagel chain on Staten Island, had big plans when they bought a half-acre lot on Todt Hill for $1.7 million in 2017. And those plans came with a hefty price tag. After four years and a staggering $6 million investment, the couple unveiled their new 11,000-square-foot mansion in the upscale neighborhood, complete with its own in-house salon.
The sale of the home, which boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a two-car garage, set a record for the borough with a final price tag of $8.5 million. However, it seems that the Cardinales may not be the only ones in the neighborhood with a place to get their nails done.
According to public records, the couple's next door neighbor, Michael and Lisa Bronzo, also have a salon in their home. While the Bronzos' salon may not be as lavish as the Cardinales', the two homes share a similar aesthetic and it's clear that the Todt Hill neighborhood is home to some high-end pampering.
Despite the apparent competition, the Cardinales' mansion is truly one-of-a-kind. The home features a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase, a luxurious master suite with a private balcony, and a spacious backyard with a pool and hot tub. The in-house salon is just the cherry on top of this lavish property.
