SJP Properties and Claremont Development Secure $135M Loan for Luxury Jersey City Rentals in The Lucy Project
Construction is progressing at the Jefferson Inglewood project on Manchester Boulevard, where a developer is bringing an eight-story mixed-use community to a site that previously held a car dealership.
The Jefferson Inglewood project, led by developer Cityview, is moving forward on Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood, despite controversy surrounding the site's previous use as a car dealership. The eight-story mixed-use community, set to feature 222 units, has topped out and is expected to be completed in the near future.
The site, located at 939 West Manchester Boulevard, has been at the center of a battle between developers and community members concerned about gentrification and the changing landscape of Inglewood. The project has faced criticism for displacing local businesses and potentially raising property values in the area.
However, Cityview has successfully navigated land use laws and secured the necessary permits to move forward with the project. In a statement, the company said, "We are proud to be a part of the revitalization of Inglewood and believe that the Jefferson Inglewood project will bring much-needed housing and economic growth to the area."
Despite backlash from community members, the Inglewood City Council has shown support for the project, citing the need for more housing in the area. Mayor James T. Butts Jr. stated, "We are excited to see the Jefferson Inglewood project come to life and believe it will be a valuable addition to our city."
