The real estate world was rocked today as Barron and Tessa Hilton, co-founders and co-CEOs of Hilton Hilton, announced their departure from the company to join Compass. This news comes on the heels of Compass' $1.6 billion acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate, in which the Hiltons will now be a part of.

In a statement, Barron and Tessa Hilton said, "We are making a strategic move to Compass to position not only ourselves, but most importantly, our clients for long-term success in an increasingly competitive market."

This sudden shift to Compass has raised eyebrows in the industry, as the Hiltons have been at the helm of their own successful real estate firm for years. But with Compass' recent expansion and acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate, it seems the Hiltons saw an opportunity for growth and jumped on it.
