HomeServices of America CEO Chris Kelly discusses plans for AI and consolidation in the real estate industry during an interview at the RISMedia CEO & Leadership Exchange.
During a recent interview at the RISMedia CEO & Leadership Exchange, HomeServices of America CEO Chris Kelly shared insights into the future of the real estate industry, including his plans for implementing AI and promoting consolidation.
Kelly, who took over as CEO in April after Gino Blefari's retirement, discussed the company's potential acquisition of other real estate firms. He stated, "We're always looking for the right opportunities to grow and expand our business. We're constantly evaluating different companies and seeing if they're a fit for us."
The CEO also addressed rumors that HomeServices of America may be looking to acquire Compass, a fast-growing real estate brokerage. Kelly neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, stating, "If we think it makes sense and it's the right fit, we'll do it. If not, we won't."
In addition to discussing potential acquisitions, Kelly also shared his thoughts on the increasing role of AI in the real estate industry. He noted, "AI is going to be more and more important in the future. It's going to change the way we do things and make our lives easier."
However, Kelly emphasized that AI will not replace the human aspect of real estate. He stated, "I think AI is complementary to what we do, but it's not going to replace our agents. Our agents are the backbone of our business and will continue to be."
Ultimately, Kelly believes that consolidation and AI will help HomeServices of America stay ahead in the competitive real estate market. He stated, "We're always looking for ways to innovate and stay ahead of the curve.
