Housing Lottery Launches for Beach Channel House at 60-14 Beach Channel Drive in Arverne, Queens
Lottery opens for affordable housing at Beach Channel House in Arverne, Queens.
The affordable housing lottery has officially opened for Beach Channel House, a five-story residential building located at 60-14 Beach Channel Drive in the Arverne neighborhood of Queens. The project was designed by Badaly Architects and is being developed by Matthew Ahdoot of United Developers.
The building will offer a total of 101 residences, with 37 units available through the NYC Housing Connect program for residents earning 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). These units will range in eligible income from $95,726 to $227,500.
In a statement, Ahdoot emphasized the importance of providing affordable housing in New York City, saying, "As a developer, it is our responsibility to help address the city's housing crisis by creating affordable options for those who need it most."
The lottery is open to all eligible New York City residents, with preference given to current residents of Queens Community Board 14. The deadline to apply is November 8, 2021.
