KPMG brings life to DTLA’s US Bank Tower with 70K sf lease
KPMG trades one downtown LA address for another, signing a 70K sf lease at U.S. Bank Tower while also securing a lease at a nearby office complex.
After years of vacancy, the US Bank Tower in DTLA is finally seeing some life thanks to KPMG, the Netherlands-based accounting and professional services firm.
The company has signed a lease for nearly 70,000 square feet across three floors at the iconic tower, according to CoStar. This marks one of the largest office leases of the year so far, bringing some much-needed activity to the area.
KPMG will not only be occupying space at the U.S. Bank Tower, but also at the Plaza at Continental Park office complex in nearby El Segundo. The company has signed a separate lease spanning nearly 50,000 square feet at the complex.
This move signals KPMG's departure from their current L.A. offices at the 28-story KPMG Center at 550 South Hope Street. The new leases at both the U.S. Bank Tower and Plaza at Continental Park will provide the company with a combined 120,000 square feet of space.
"We are excited to move to our new space at the U.S. Bank Tower and Plaza at Continental Park, which will provide our firm and our employees with the flexibility and amenities necessary to continue to grow and prosper in Los Angeles," said John Veihmeyer, the former global chairman of KPMG.
It seems that KPMG is making strategic moves, securing space in two desirable locations within the city. With the revitalization of the U.S. Bank Tower and the convenient location of the Plaza at Continental Park, it's a win-win for the company.
