The Hyatt House hotel in Los Angeles is facing a foreclosure auction after defaulting on a $61.5 million loan from Westbrook Partners, amidst a civil case between the developer and lender.

According to a notice of trustee's sale, the Hyatt House hotel located on the University of Southern California's health sciences campus is headed to a foreclosure auction. The hotel, a five-story, 200-key property developed by the Mayer Corporation, is just a short walk from USC's medical center.

The Mayer Corporation had secured a $61.5 million refinancing loan from Westbrook Partners four years ago, but has since defaulted on the debt.
