New look for proposed apartments at 810 N. Marengo Ave. in Pasadena
A pending presentation to the Pasadena Design Commission reveals updated plans for an infill development at 810 N. Marengo Avenue.
A new architect has been brought on board for the proposed development at 810 N. Marengo Avenue, as the project restarts the design review process.
The project, which was last seen before the Commission in 2023, calls for a three-story building with 32 apartments and subterranean parking for 52 vehicles. It was previously reported that the project would rely on density bonus incentives and include a portion of affordable units for very low-income households.
The applicant, RAM Pasadena Development LLC, has retained EJA Design Studios, LLC as the new architect for the project, according to the staff report.
"The proposed development will feature two building volumes forming a U-shaped footprint around two ancillary gardens and an open walkway to the main garden on the south side of the lot," reads the staff report. "The building to the north will span the length of the north, east, and a portion of the south property lines."
The project is currently undergoing a preliminary design review and additional hearings are expected to take place in the future.
