New Townhome Development Set to Replace Single-Family Homes in Duarte Neighborhood
A new townhome development is slated to replace single-family homes in Duarte, pending approval of various entitlements.
According to a recent environmental report, two single-family homes in the Duarte neighborhood are set to be demolished to make way for a new townhome development. The project, located at 1404 Royal Oaks Drive, will consist of 11 townhome units in five interconnected buildings, with plans for two-story structures and 28 parking spaces. Architect Feng Xiao, known for his designs of stucco exteriors and concrete tile roofing, is behind the project. The development will also include 6,300 square feet of open space, including common lawns and a barbecue area. Pending approval of a general plan amendment, a zone change, and other entitlements, construction is expected to take place over a two-year period. The property is currently owned by Arcadia-based entity Shuorung Properties, LLC. Originally reported by https://la.urbanize.city/post/11-townhomes-planned-1404-royal-oaks-dr-duarte.
