Ponte Equities' 289 Hudson Street Tops Out in Hudson Square, Manhattan
Ponte Equities' 289 Hudson Street tops out, adding 15 rental units and 1,710 square feet of commercial space to the rapidly changing Hudson Square neighborhood.
Construction has officially topped out on Ponte Equities' 289 Hudson Street, a six-story residential building in the rapidly changing Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. The 73-foot-tall structure, designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering, will span 14,829 square feet and house 15 rental units with an average size of 688 square feet. In addition to the residential units, there will also be 1,710 square feet of commercial space and a cellar level.
The property, located at the corner of Hudson and Spring Streets, is directly across from the recently completed Disney headquarters at Four Hudson Square. The new development will add to the rapidly changing landscape of Hudson Square, which has seen significant development and growth in recent years.
"We are excited to see the progress on 289 Hudson Street and look forward to adding to the vibrant and diverse community of Hudson Square," said a spokesperson for Ponte Equities.
The development has not been without controversy, as some community members have expressed concerns about the impact of the new building on the neighborhood. However, Ponte Equities has consistently followed all zoning and land use laws in the development process.
"We are committed to working with the community and following all regulations and laws in our development of 289 Hudson Street," said a representative from SRA Architecture + Engineering.
The completion of 289 Hudson Street is expected to bring new residents and businesses to the neighborhood, further contributing to the transformation of Hudson Square.
