Portman's Pompano Beach Project Gets Green Light for 397 Apartments and Retail Space
Atlanta-based developer Portman secures approval for a mixed-use project with 397 apartments and 10,600 square feet of retail and restaurant space in Pompano Beach.
Atlanta-based developer Portman has received approval from the Pompano Beach Planning & Zoning Board for their latest project, an eight-story mixed-use building with 397 apartments and 10,600 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The project, located at 2400 East Atlantic Boulevard, is set to begin construction this fall and is expected to be completed in late 2028, according to a press release from Portman.
Portman first proposed the project in May, and it has since emerged as a hotbed of development in Broward County. The building will feature amenities such as a pool and fitness center, catering to the growing demand for luxury apartment living in the area.
"We are thrilled to expand our presence in Pompano Beach and contribute to the city's vibrant growth," said Ambrish Baisiwala, CEO of Portman Holdings. "This project will not only provide much-needed housing options but also create new jobs and stimulate the local economy."
The approval for Portman's project comes amidst a wave of development in Pompano Beach, with the city attracting developers and investors due to its prime location and growing population. The project has faced some opposition from residents, who raised concerns about the potential impact on traffic and the environment. However, Portman has addressed these concerns in their plans and received the necessary approvals to move forward with the project.
