Silverstein Properties Unveils The Avenir - A $7B Mixed-Use Complex for Manhattan's West Side

Silverstein Properties introduces The Avenir, a $7 billion mixed-use complex set to redefine Manhattan's Far West Side.

Silverstein Properties, alongside gaming partners Rush Street Gaming and Greenwood Gaming, has unveiled The Avenir - a $7 billion, mixed-use hotel, casino, entertainment, dining, and public art complex set to rise at 11th Avenue and 41st Street in Midtown West. This ambitious project will not only transform the architectural landscape of the area, but also have a significant impact on the local economy.

The development team is currently seeking approval from the Community Advisory Committee by September 30, 2025. However, concerns have been raised about the potential effects of a large-scale casino on the community, as well as the need for affordable housing in the area.

"We are confident that this project will not only bring much-needed entertainment and dining options to the neighborhood, but also create jobs and stimulate economic growth," says Larry Silverstein, Chairman of Silverstein Properties.

While the potential for a casino license has been a major factor in the development of The Avenir, Silverstein Properties maintains that community needs and interests are also a top priority.

"We have been working closely with the Community Advisory Committee to address any concerns and ensure that this project will have a positive impact on the surrounding area," says Silverstein.

With its impressive design and proposed amenities, The Avenir has the potential to become a new destination for both locals and tourists alike. However, as with any major development, it is important for the community to carefully consider all aspects before giving final approval.
