Steven Sharp's Pink Dream: CIM Group Develops First Ground-Up Outpost for Museum of Ice Cream in West Adams

Museum of Ice Cream brings 23,000 square feet of interactive installations, including a 100-foot-long double helix slide and the world's largest sprinkle pool, to West Adams in 2026.

Just south of the 10 Freeway in West Adams, the Museum of Ice Cream's permanent Los Angeles home is taking shape.

The three-story building - the first ever ground-up outpost for the Museum of Ice Cream - will include 23,000 square feet of space at 5252 West Adams Boulevard. A rendering shows a pink exterior and ground-floor spaces to activate the sidewalk.

The new home is being developed by CIM Group, known for their numerous residential and commercial developments along the West Adams corridor. Originally intended for offices, the 64North-designed structure will now house the highly anticipated Museum of Ice Cream.

Set to open in 2026, the Museum of Ice Cream will feature 15 interactive installations, including a 100-foot-long double helix slide that extends the three-story height of the building, a Santa Monica Pier-themed carnival experience, a tiki bar, and the world's largest sprinkle pool. This will be the seventh location for the popular museum, with outposts also located in Las Vegas, Chicago, Miami, Boston, Austin, and Singapore, as well as the original in New York.
