Westwood Financial Taps New CEO KC Fields to Lead Retail Real Estate Investment Company
Westwood Financial has replaced Mark Bratt with KC Fields as CEO. Other commercial real estate companies in LA also make new hires.
Westwood Financial, a retail real estate investment company founded in 1970 by Howard Banchik and Steve Fogel, has named KC Fields as its new chief executive, replacing Mark Bratt who stepped down in December. Fields was previously a senior vice president at Philips Edison & Company, a grocery-anchored center retail owner and operator.
The Los Angeles commercial real estate scene saw several other new hires during the third quarter of the year. CBRE, Kidder Matthews, and JLL all made notable additions to their teams.
CBRE brought on Brandon Burns as a senior vice president in its Newport Beach office. Burns previously worked at JLL and specializes in investment sales and leasing for retail properties.
Kidder Matthews expanded its presence in Southern California with the hiring of three new brokers: Jason Simon, Scott Martin, and Brad Williams. Simon and Martin both joined from The Klabin Company, while Williams came from Colliers International.
JLL added two new senior vice presidents to its West Coast retail capital markets team: David Girty and Zack Holderman. Both previously worked at HFF and have experience in retail investment sales and debt and equity placement.
